Hawthorn-Garlic capsules is a combination of the extracts from hawthorn berries, garlic bulb and passiflora herb. It is one of Alfred Vogel’s original formulations.
Hawthorn (or Crataegus) is a small shrub with red berries. Hawthorn berries have a history of use as a food – added to stews and in pies. The use of garlic has been catalogued back to antiquity, being found in the tombs of the ancient Egyptian Pharaohs. Passiflora, a climbing plant with beautiful flowers, is another herb well-known to herbalists.
Hawthorn-Garlic capsules, like many of our herbal remedies such as Echinaforce® Echinacea and Dormeasan® Valerian-Hops, is made from fresh plant material, organically grown and does not contain any genetically modified ingredients.
Adults: 1 to 2 capsules twice daily
Children: This product is not recommended for children
Each capsule contains fresh Swiss Garlic extract 150mg, extract of Crataegus oxyacantha (Hawthorn) 33mg and extract of Passiflora incarnate (Passiflora) 18mg.
Also contains refined rapeseed oil, distilled vegetable oil, glucose, beeswax, lecithin, lactose and silica. Capsule shell contains gelatine, glycerol, karion 83 (a combination of sorbitol, mannitol and starch), brown and red iron oxide.
